AREAS OF TACTIKOM

 

Many international, regional and national (governmental and non-governmental) organizations, strive to develop strategies to encourage or facilitate the emergence of an information society inclusive and useful to the mankind.

As usual, there is a wide gap between, on the one hand, the intentions declined as general and comprehensive strategies and other initiatives and, in the other hand, concrete actions on the ground. The pace with which changes occur in this sector is such that the decision making of leaders, whether in private companies or in government agencies, seems risky and uncertain because of the inadequacy or lack of factual and objective information.

TACTIKOM is an instrument in the hands of those who are responsible for missions to transform these strategies into tactical actions. To do this TACTIKOM, among other activities:

 

1.          Provides consulting services in the following areas:

 

a.     Identification and analysis of costs incurred to provide services based on the use of telecommunications;

b.    Identification and analysis of regulatory aspects related to the provision of such services;

c.     Calculation of prices for telecommunications services even in complex environments combining a multitude of technologies and services operated simultaneously;

d.    Planning technical, administrative and commercial development of new telecommunications networks and services;

e.     Planning technical, administrative and commercial management of migration to next generation networks and services including identification and projection of changes in the cost of services;

f.     Technical auditing of telecommunications networks, particularly in the field of quality of service and compliance with regulatory directives;

g.    Expertise in resolving conflicts between stakeholders in the telecommunications market, especially those relating to interconnection rates between national operators.

 

2.       Designs, manufactures, operates and markets computer products that may facilitate the tasks described in 1) above;

 

3.       Provides training in regulation and policy (private and public) that underpin the development of telecommunications and related missions described in 1) and 2) above.

1-    The operators of telecommunications networks;

2-    Providers of telecommunications services;

3-    The national regulatory authorities of the telecommunications market;

4-    Policy makers in the telecommunications industry;

5-    International organizations, regional or national with a development mission in the telecommunications industry;

6-    The institutions involved in financing initiatives, projects and actions in the field of telecommunications.
